Summer Favorite

I cannot say the word summer without simultaneously thinking about this place – our family lake house in Waupaca. ⁠⁠

With two bedrooms, one and half bathrooms and an exposed basement with four twin beds, this cozy chalet (what we called it growing up) is a haven for summer fun. While the walls could boast of many memories and much laughter, it’s the view and the crystal clear lake that make this place truly incredible. ⁠ ⁠

From learning to water ski, sleeping on the dock under the stars, hiding in the yard during a game of Kick the Can, to now as an adult reveling in gorgeous sunsets, sipping on wine with friends college, and watching my niece fall in love with the lake – I wouldn’t trade this place for anything in the world. ⁠ ⁠

What a gift to have grown up spending summers on this lake; and now to trade worries of the world for a cabin with a view – it’s not hard to explain why this makes the top of the list of my summer favorites. ⁠ ⁠
